From the very beginning, giving back has been part of the heart of Mt Fyffe Distillery. This isn’t just about making great gin, it’s about supporting the people, places, and wildlife that make Kaikōura so special.

Over the years, $3 from every bottle has helped contribute to something bigger. Through donations and ongoing support, we’re proud to have given back to:

• Rural and community support – sales from our Woolshed Gin helped support recovery efforts in Hawke’s Bay following Cyclone Gabrielle, along with small sponsorships for local schools and charities in and around rural Kaikōura. These are the kinds of communities we’re part of, and it’s important to us to give back where we can.
• Kaikōura Dark Sky Trust – this work has really caught our eye. The Trust is focused on protecting, promoting, and celebrating Kaikōura’s night skies, one of Aotearoa’s natural taonga. Reducing light pollution not only keeps our skies full of stars, but also helps protect wildlife, including the Hutton’s shearwater, which can become disoriented by bright town lighting. • Kaikōura Wildlife Trust – supporting the care and rehabilitation of injured seabirds, including the iconic Hutton’s shearwater. Proceeds from Shearwater Gin have helped fund shelter and medical care during the busy fledging season. https://www.kaikourawildlifetrust.org/ 

• Local community initiatives and grassroots projects – supporting the people and ideas that help keep Kaikōura thriving
• Environmental and conservation efforts – helping protect the land and ecosystems that inspire everything we create

This is a collective effort. Every purchase contributes in a small way and together, those small contributions add up to something meaningful.
