Country calendar comes to the distillery….

March 23, 2023

Isn’t it funny how one things leads to another, last November I had a lovely visit from Radio NZ to chat about all things gin and why I headed into the distilling business and what I do in my small nano distillery… that lead to a call from the research team at country calendar and before I new it, Dan the producer and the team were here on the farm, to catch the vitally important drying botanics hanging up in the distillery. They returned in January and spent a further 4 days filming both Barry my husband and myself around the farm, in the distillery and chatting to us both about what makes us tick and what we get up to.

My husband Barry is a quiet hardworking sheep and beef farmer, this was quite the intrusion for him, but he enjoyed the experience and I think is looking forward to the episode soon to show in a weeks time. On the other hand, I love to share my passion and my story and found it really hard to not talk when they needed to film without sound!!

The episode which is airing on TV1 on the 2nd April 2023 is fast approaching, I have no sneaky peak at the show and like you will be watching it on Sunday with the rest of the viewers, maybe a little nervous but ever so excited. I can garrentte Dan, Richard and Nigel (the camera crew) will do an outstanding job and with a good gin in hand I shall enjoy watching the episode with family and friends around….

If you didn’t catch the episode on the 2nd April… it can be viewed on TVNZ on demand….woop woop … heres to an exciting time ahead.
